Cole Swindell is an American country music artist who was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. He graduated in 2011 from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge with a degree in Communications. While he was in college, he worked for Shreveport's KWKH-FM and was also a disc jockey at several local bars.
He charted his first single, "Chillin' It," in 2012 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, making it to #27. His second single, "You Should Be Here," debuted on the same list at #89 in 2013

His second album "Hillbilly Bone" was released on January 30, 2016 to mostly positive reviews from critics, who praised its musical style as being similar to that of Jason Aldean. Although it only produced two singles that made Top 40 on the Billboard Country Chart, "High On You" and "Take Back Home Girl," it reached #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart upon its release. Swindell's third studio album "foiler", followed on May 5, 2017 with its lead single being 'You Don't Know Me'.
Swindell is married to Miranda Lambert's tour manager Hannah Johnson-Swindell who he met while he was working at Shreveport's KWKH-FM radio station while she was working there as well.
